Facebook is nothing but a place of friends and family. You need to add your friends and relatives on Facebook for communicating with them. A normal person can have as much as 500-1000 friends and relatives depending on his position in the society. It includes his school friends, college friends, university friends, family members, relatives, neighbors, colleagues etc. They are the oxygen of your Facebook ID. But, if you are getting more and more friend requests than you deserve from unknown persons daily, you need to limit your friend request by this easy trick. It will limit your friend request to a great extent so that only the friends of your friends can send you the friend request only. A. At first, log in to your Facebook Account from any computer browsers.

B. You will see the friend request icon in the upper left corner of your screen.

Click this icon (1), then click on Settings (2).

8. Now, you can see that some extended area has been selected automatically.

9. Now, click on Edit>Fill or press [Ctrl]+[F5] or [Ctrl]+[Shift]+[F5] in some computer models. It will bring up this window. Make sure the Content-Aware is selected there. Then press OK.

10. That’s magic! All the texts have gone, removing the actual background, very much the same as the watermark-free actual image.

11. Press [Ctrl]+[S] buttons and then click OK to save your photo.

How to Format External Hard Drive to FAT32 in Windows

Trying to format a large external USB or Firewire hard drive to the FAT32 file system? Can’t do it? Only see an option for formatting the drive using the NTFS file format? Well if you answered yes any of those questions, then you’re at the right place.

I was recently trying to format my 1 TB MyBook external hard drive in Windows XP to FAT32 instead of the overly forced-upon NTFS format. Why? Well because I needed to connect it to a NAS device and the NTFS permissions were causing the NAS not to be able to access the drive. Simple solution is to use FAT32, no security, no problems. Though it’s sometimes useful to format a USB drive in NTFS format.

Also, formatting a drive in FAT or FAT32 will allow it to be read by other operating systems, such as Mac, Linux, and older versions of Windows such as Windows 98.

Unfortunately, Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 will only format a removable drive in FAT32 if it’s less than 32GB! Hmmm…that pretty much cuts out ALL modern external hard drives!

However, Windows can format a drive that is larger than 32GB in FAT32, but you have to use the DOS command prompt. However, if you have a drive that is 1TB or larger, you may still get an error saying “The volume is too big for FAT32”.

In that case, you can use some 3rd party programs that will allow you to format an external hard drive with the larger size. Let’s go through the different methods. Format in FAT32 using Drive-Specific Tools

Before we get into using the command prompt and other third-party programs, it’s worth mentioning that some of the hard drive manufacturers have created their own tools for converting a drive which is larger than 32 GB to FAT32. Here is a list:

Format External Hard Drive in FAT32 using DOS

Open a command window by going to Start, then Run and typing in CMD.

Now type in the following command at the prompt:

format /FS:FAT32 X:

Replace the letter X with the letter of your external hard drive in Windows. Windows will go ahead and begin formatting the drive in FAT32!

There seems to also be an issue when using the command line besides the size limit problem. Namely, it can take forever to format the hard drive for some users. Not sure why, but I’ve seen it enough times and it can be very frustrating to wait 5 hours and then have the whole format fail. If the format is taking longer than an hour, just cancel it and try one of the methods below first.

Format in FAT32 using Verbatim SmartDisk FAT32 Utility

There is a free utility called Verbatim FAT32 Tool which will allow you to convert your hard drive to FAT32 in seconds. I use to recommend a program called SwissKnife, which I mention below, but it’s no longer free and no one really needs to spend $10 to convert a hard drive from NTFS to FAT32. There are lots of other free tools and this Verbatim one is one of the better ones.

Just download it, unzip it and run the tool. It’s a standalone EXE file, so you don’t even have to install it on your system. Choose the drive you want to format, give it a Volume name and click Format Drive!

It’s a painfully simple program to use and it works really well. If you don’t even want to bother with the command prompt, just download this free tool and use it.

Format in FAT32 using FAT32Format

FAT32Format is another free tool you can use to get the job done. Choose the drive, the allocation unit size, give the volume a label, choose whether you want to do a quick format or not and then click Start.

I would suggest not checking Quick Format so that way the entire drive is completely overwritten and you’re starting from scratch. I’ve tried this program and it was able to convert my 1TB hard drive to FAT32 without any issues. It did take longer than Verbatim, but I didn’t choose Quick Format, which probably would have been faster.

Format in FAT32 using FAT32Formatter

Another option is the FAT32Formatter program from Tokiwa. Using this program, you can see the different partitions on the hard disk and format just one partition to FAT32 instead of the whole drive. It’s probably best not to have a mix of NTFS and FAT32 partitions on one drive, but you can do it if you want or if you need to for some reason. This program will allow you to do that.

Format in FAT32 using SwissKnife

SwissKnife is a nifty little program that used to be free, but not anymore, which you can use to format many types of external drives such as USB, Firewire, PCMIA, SATA and SCSI. The link points to the CNET page, which still has the older free version you can download. You can also use it to create partitions on an external hard drive and it formats faster than Windows.

With SwissKnife, you may run into an issue where after the conversion to FAT32, you are left with only a small percentage of the original disk size. For example, if you format a 1TB drive, you might perform the conversion and end up with only 500 MB of space. This can be fixed by first reformatting the drive in NTFS format by performing a quick format.

Once you format the entire drive using NTFS, make sure to view the available space in Explorer and that it matches the size of the hard drive. Once you do that, go ahead and use SwissKnife to perform the conversion to FAT32.

So next time you want to format a hard drive in FAT32 and Windows only gives you an option for NTFS, make sure to follow one of the methods mentioned above. Enjoy!

How to Add a Wireless or Network Printer in Windows 10

Just got a new wireless or network printer for your home or office and need to install it on Windows 10? Compared to the old days, adding printers in Windows nowadays is usually a pretty easy process, as long as the printer isn’t ancient.

I’ve actually already talked about installing printers before, but my previous article was focused on manually adding a network printer using the IP address. That’s actually a last resort option in case you can’t get the printer installed automatically by Windows 10 first.

Before we get started, let’s talk about how to manage printers in Windows 10, because that has become a bit confusing. In Windows 10, you can add/remove/manage printers from the Control Panel or the Settings app.

Manage Printers in Windows 10

To get to the Control Panel printer manager, click on Devices and Printers. I still find this interface more familiar since it’s been around since Windows XP.

You’ll see a list of all your printers and other devices that may be on the network. The other way is to click on Start, then Settings and then click on Devices.

There’s really no reason for there to be two ways to do this, but that’s just how it is currently in Windows 10. You can pick either way and you’ll get all the same options, so it doesn’t really matter.

Adding a Printer in Windows 10

Now let’s get into the actual steps for adding a printer to Windows 10. In this article, we are assuming that you have connected your printer to either the wireless network or wired network. As long as your router is giving out IP addresses automatically using DHCP, getting your printer connected to the network should be straight-forward.

For wireless printers, just refer to the instructions on how to configure the printer with the wireless network settings. Most new wireless printers allow you to do this on the on-screen display of the printer, but some older wireless printers require you to connect the printer directly to a computer first, configure the wireless settings and then disconnect it.

Once the printer is connected, go ahead and click on Add a printer in the Devices and Printers dialog on your PC.

Now, if the printers are on and connected, magic should happen and any printers on the network not already added to your computer should appear in the list. If they do not show up, you should click on The printer that I want isn’t listed link at the bottom to troubleshoot. Go down to the Troubleshoot Installing Printers in Windows 10 section to read more about solving common problems.

If all is well, click on the printer you want to install and then click Next.

Windows will automatically setup the printer by installing the appropriate printer drivers onto the system. If available, it’ll download the drivers from the printer itself.

After a few seconds, the printer should be successfully added and you’ll be able to print a test page. Note that this procedure will be able to find wireless or wired printers on the network.

Troubleshoot Installing Printers in Windows 10

Now you probably wouldn’t be on this site if everything went so well as shown above, so let’s talk about some of the problems that can occur. Firstly, what if nothing shows up in the list of printers?

The first thing to do is click on that The printer that I want isn’t listed link. This will bring up the Find a Printer dialog.

You should start out with the first option (My printer is a little older. Help me find it.) as that will perform another scan, but with different methods to detect different kinds of printers.

If you’re in an office environment of some sort with a shared printer, you can go ahead and enter the full path to the printer, which you’ll need to get from your administrator. TheAdd a printer using a TCP/IP address or hostname option is basically the previous post I wrote about printers, which I linked to at the top of this article.

The last option, Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings, is basically if you have a printer that still uses a serial or parallel port. The Add a Bluetooth, wireless or network discoverable printer is the main dialog that comes up when you click on Add a Printer and it will just perform another normal scan.

If none of the options above work for you, it could be a problem with the printing system on your Windows 10 machine. The next option is to run the printer troubleshooter. You can click on Start, type in printer troubleshoot and then click on Find and Fix Printing Problems.

You can also download another printer troubleshooter from Microsoft and run that to see if it can fix any issues. Lastly, if you have an older printer that doesn’t have a Windows 10 driver, you might just have to upgrade to a new printer. You can always try to install a Windows 8 or Windows 7 driver, but it may not work because of higher security settings in Windows 10. If you have any questions, post a comment. Enjoy!
